PANDOMIC Awarded Best Poster at CampyUK 2025

08 October 2025

In late September 2025, researchers from the PANDOMIC consortium were honored with the Best Poster Prize at CampyUK 2025, held at the University of Oxford.

The award recognized the work of the PANDOMIC team, presented by Noémie Berg and Catherine Ragimbeau from the Laboratoire national de santé (LNS), Luxembourg, for their study on plasmid carriage and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genes in Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli.

The study was conducted as part of PANDOMIC research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR) genomic mapping in a One Health setting. Using long-read sequencing, the team investigated how resistance genes are distributed between chromosomes and plasmids in different Campylobacter species. The findings reveal key differences between C. jejuni and C. coli, offering valuable insights into the mechanisms driving AMR spread across human, animal, and foodborne sources.

This recognition reflects the commitment of PANDOMIC to advancing genomic surveillance, strengthening cross-border collaboration, and enhancing European pandemic preparedness through science-based innovation.
